42 | design fab studio is a full-service design/build studio that provides exhibits, themed environments, and custom creations to a diverse client base both nationally and to the northeast region.
An important part of our job is ensuring that our work gets delivered and installed correctly and on-time. In order to make that happen, we are personally on-site at installations. 1 year of field service is included in all design contracts.
Being involved in the design process makes switching over to fabrication simple. With our fully equipped wood shop, metal shop, and casting shop, we are ready to get our hands dirty.
Our clients usually come to us with an idea in hand. From there we work with clients to efficiently work out all the details and come up with a plan of action for fabrication.

We primarily deliver exhibits to museum, institutional, and corporate clients. Additionally, we provide custom fabrications to support advertising and marketing, entertainment, corporate and residential clients. We specialize in one-off custom fabrication and short-run production.
Who Is
42 Design Fab?
In 2010, principals Jack Kacian and Todd Harris brought decades of creative and technical experience together to launch 42|df. In a short time, we have become recognized as a versatile, creative and dependable partner to our many clients.
Our design and fabrication studios are located within the Indian Orchard Mills complex, in the Indian Orchard section of Springfield, MA. We’re conveniently located just minutes from I-90, I-291 and I-91. This provides us with excellent access to clients ranging from NYC to Portland, ME.
